Xbox Game Pass vs Xbox Gold Games

I m not able to get free games that are available through Xbox Games with because they are on Game Pass. I understand i can play the game with Game pass, but it will not always stay and games and i want it in my library so i can download it whenever i want. If Games for gold are only for those without Game Pass then MS needs to say that and i will need to give up Game Pass. Is there a work around on this?

Paying for game pass ultimate vs normal game pass + Gold is a similar price month by month.

The price can vary for a single vs bundled game also if they have something like game pass it could have been discounted as well as for live gold members and different versions of the game that may come with added dlc vs standard game
