Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Pay Outstanding Balance With Account Balance (Console)

depending on when it was set to renew, you may be able to pay the balance and then request a refund, or, if the past due subscription is for Live Gold and you wanted to take advantage of the deals on Game Pass,
Ultimate you can simply pay the outstanding balance and then upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate and any time left on your Live Gold will also be converted to Game Pass Ultimate

You would have to try contacting support and speak to billing to see if they can push that through. Otherwise, the only way to pay off the balance is with another payment method. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

I have had this issue before, Have you checked there isn't an outstanding balance or that on your account some games can bug out if you have a outstanding balance example from games pass games can appear in there but they can disappear if out standing
balance ect.

Unfortunately he has to pay the outstanding balance before the code can be added to the account. The balance cannot be paid with a subscription code.
