Discus and support XBox Game Pass Ultimate Can't Install PC Games in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; There are several games that will not install with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on my PC.     XBox Game Pass Ultimate Can't Install PC Games


    There are several games that will not install with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on my PC. I see a red cross circle and get a message "It looks like you don't have any applicable device(s) linked to your Microsoft account. (etc...)

    • Metro Exodus
    • Mutant Year Zero
    • Surviving Mars
    • Imperator Rome
    • Opus Magnum

    Other games (that were available prior with Xbox Pass) seem fine.

    Prior to the PC pass I had an Origin account that had some of these games. It shows in the Microsoft store as "I own these games". There might be some issue going on with that.

    What do I need to do in order to fix this issue?

    That would be why you can't redeem it then...from the FAQs in the link I posted before:

    "If you were previously subscribed or currently subscribed to Xbox Game Pass for PC, or an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you will not be able to redeem the two month trial for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate!"

    cant install your game on game pass? try these instructions: goto gamepass on pc then find game pass with video then go down and u will see the purchasing orders they are xbox game pass and gamepass ultimate if u want to play ur game then order the ultimate version it unlocks all games complete the order and try to install ur game

    We appreciate your coming to the Xbox community, about the pc game pass, it can only be accessed on the computer, there are 3 versions of the game pass subscription, they are PC, Xbox, and Ultimate, only the ultimate version gives you access to play on pc and also on the console.

    Even if it is the ultimate version, it would not be possible to use the account sharing system between pc and Xbox, as the pc does not have the function set as home, but you could use the account on Xbox and pc, but only 1 of each time could access the games.

    The unknown problem when selecting the hard drive where the games will be installed, happens when you are going to install a certain game, you can't install them?

    You don’t need an Xbox to use Game Pass for PC. You can find info on the subject here: https://www.xbox.com/en-CA/xbox-game-pass/pc-games

    What you would probably want is game pass for PC, not game pass ultimate if you’re just using it for PC.

    Basically, just a Windows PC with the Xbox app installed.
