Xbox Game Pass Ultimate - can it be used simultaneously on Xbox and PC?

So I’ve been Googling for an answer to this question (and searching on these forums), but I'm finding hard to get a definite answer. So I’m hoping that someone here can bring some clarity!

Question: using a single Xbox Game Pass Ultimate account, is it possible to play Game Pass games (or even the same game) on Xbox One and PC at the same time?

I assume it goes something like this…

1. I purchase an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and set my Xbox One as the ‘home’ console.
2. I set up an account for the second user on my Xbox - in this case, for my son.
   
3. My son installs the Game Pass App on his PC and logs in using his own Xbox account - i.e. the second account set up on the Xbox.
   
4. We're both able to play Game Pass games at the same time.
   

Is that how it works, or have I got it wrong?

I’m reluctant to commit to Game Pass Ultimate without knowing for certain that I can use the account on Xbox/PC simultaneously.
