    Hello Everyone,

    Hopefully I can save you some irritating browsing through useless Microsoft Support Articles for this issue. There is a problem with the most recent version of Microsoft's Windows 10 Version 20H2 and using the Microsoft Store to download Game Pass Games
    as well as with the Xbox Game Pass for PC (beta) app.

    First to check your Windows Version press Win + R and type, "winver"

    If you are on version 20H2 - continue with this guide, otherwise this may not be the best fix for you. Anyways - most guides begin with, "Make sure Windows is up to date." In this case - you don't want that if you want this to continue functioning properly.
    To uninstall 20H2 and rollback to Windows 10 version 2004 - follow this guide;

    Uninstall takes a few minutes and requires a reboot. Upon reboot - you should now be able to use the Microsoft Store normally and download the Game Pass for PC App again. Hopefully this saves some people unnecessary frustration and browsing through useless
    support articles that are all resolved and locked with no real resolution.

    I used to have a Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) subscription active on this account from a 3 months Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) code i got from discord nitro. This now appears under Canceled subscriptions as Expired on 2/28/2020.

    This month i bought a XBOX one X and activated an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 1 month key which should overwrite the old Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) one since it also includes it.

    Update: I am seeing a Your Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) subscription has expired. message when entering the Services & subscriptions page on my microsoft account. It also has the RENEW option, which is completely pointless since i have the Xbox Game Pass
    Ultimate acctive.

    No problem. I knew I wasn't going to get any support from Microsoft and when I found the solution I thought others might need it. Nothing is more frustrating then having a service you can't even use and then a support service that ignores you entirely.

    I too am having this problem. It is 100% Microsoft's end of the server that is causing the issue. Steam, Epic, Uplay and everything else run smoothly and download fast (or as expected) on a fibre gigabit internet connection. Microsoft actively know about
    this issue and wilfully trying to bury this issue rather than fix it. I've read many forum posts here that a Microsoft Moderate has come and either removed a comment, post or question or simply closed the discussion stating that there is a solution on another
    forum post - without ever linking to said post.

    I don't think this will ever be fixed as Microsoft simply don't care. Their ecosystem relies on the votes of many uneducated consumers to perpetuate their lies and ignore their shortcomings.

    I recommend you do what I have done and that is to cancel XboxGamePass asap or stop using it after the trial period expires. Vote with your feet people.
