Hello guys I got an issue downloading a game: Metro Exodus.

I started dowloading yesterday night and decided to pause it since it was a bit late, so I pressed pause and quit the app.

The following day I opened the app again to keep downloading it , but the app doesnt allow me to, I cannot resume the download, the "Install" icon is there and whenever I press it , it changes for a split second and changes back to the "install" icon again.

Tried looking for the folder but I simply cannot find it. Also reinstalled the program too but doesnt work. What should I do?

    :)

I think it is fixed finally, thank you!

When i typed in wsreset.exe it opened the store for some reason and the game download was there so i was able to cancel and free the the disk.

Thank you again for the support!

We recommend signing out of the app, power cycle the PC.
It means to log out of the app and then restart the pc right?

I did it and I still cannot do install the game, I can install any other game but just this one ("Metro Exodus") also keep in note that what it downloaded previously is still somewhere in my pc and I cannot find it. Maybe thats the reason that its bugging
    the instalation?

When I click install its changes to this, as it should:

but then after a brief second it goes back to "install" icon and no download starts

    Hi there!

Looking at the replies, it might be that you need to clear your temporary download files, so the app can attempt re-installation.

My best advice, would be to follow the steps in the marked answer of
    this thread
    , as follows:

"Solution 1. Reset the Windows Store to clear the Store cache.

    1. Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.
    2. Click on Command prompt (Admin).
    3. Type wsreset.exe, and then hit Enter.

    Solution 2. Remove temporary files.

Temporary files are automatically deleted after exiting an application or a game. However, restarting your computer without exiting an active Windows session won't delete temporary files. These files may cause issues running
    games on Windows 10.

    1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and then click the Settings icon.
    2. Select System, and then select Storage.
    3. Select This PC and click on Temporary files.
    4. Select Temporary files.
    5. Click Remove files.
    6. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

If the issue persists, use an antivirus software to scan for viruses and malware in your PC."

I will also remind you, that the
    Xbox Game Pass App
is in Beta, so please feel free to file a bug, so the dev team are aware, as this may be a trending issue with other users.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Miguel,

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend signing out of the app, power cycle the PC. When you turn it back on sign back into the app, and try and install the game from the beta app.

    Thanks,

Xbox installer on windows 10 freeze at launch.

    Hi

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

It seems like the app was possibly not uninstalled or deleted properly from your PC and now it freezes when trying to re-install. Do you see the app still in your Task manager? Click where it says more details and go through each tab
and locate the Xbox game pass beta app. Right click and then select Open file location, which should open the folder with any files you would still need to delete.

Open run window (Windowskey + R) - Type in: "%appdata%" - Delete the Xbox app (beta) for the PC Game Pass folder in the roaming folder (You should be in it already). Go back one folder, then you should end up in Appdata - Go to
"Local" - Delete the beta Xbox app folder in there too. You can also get to the local folder by typing %localappdata% in the run window. Once you delete the folders for the app that is having issues, try re-installing again from this website https://www.xbox.com/xbox-game-pass/pc-games.
