Xbox game pass past due

i bought the xbox game pass for one month and i forgot to turn off auto recurring i tried to cancel it at the end of the month but it wouldn’t work so i got past due and i could cancel my subscription but it didn’t i thought it was going to cancel my subscription automatically
because i did not have money in the credit card what do i do to cancel my subscription

The 14 day trail would renew and be taken from the card on file. You can check and cancel anytime account.microsoft.com/services

When that renews if the payment fails for what ever reason that then becomes a past due sub in this case gamepass. Unforutally past dues can't be cleared using a prepaid 5x5 code. You would need too clear using a card then you can redeem the code

You will need to pay it then cancel it as there is a lee way period where it gives you normally 7 days to pay and if you dont the suspend subscription. However this means that it is the start of a new month which you have not paid for. It is rather a daft
way of doing it I know but thats why they suggest if you do not wish this to happen you have to change it from automatic payments to manual payments as manual payments do not get this lee way period. If you feel it was due to a technical fault I would bring
it up with xbox support under subscriptions and payments. I hope this helps.

In the future don't use recurring billing if your funds are questionable at times. Just go month to month.
