XBox Game Pass - Outer Worlds - Can't load save after reinstall

I had to reinstall Outer Worlds recently owing to annoying circumstances, but now I can't load any saves from before I reinstalled. They are there, but whenever I select them my game crashes to desktop. I can start a new game and I get pretty not great
performance, but it'll start, I can save the game, and load that save, but if I try to load a save from before the reinstall. Crash to desktop, as I said. I'm really frustrated by this.

You can Share your PC Settup? Try make Report about that because the Xbox(Beta) is Test version Yet

same issue ... can't update any xbox game pass PC games....

have to uninstall /reinstall.

other apps (that are not xbox game pass) are uptated through store without any issue.

for microsoft: dead cells has no cloud saves through xbox live (working on outer world/gears 5..but not dead cells)

I'm really looking forward to Outer Worlds. Will i load it and play it. Game Pass is really a great thing

There seems to be some confusion over whether it has cloud saves as, whilst it's not list in the specs and whatnot, I see comments elsewhere pointing to cloud saves being enabled so no clue

I think I've found what the issue is as well as the solution. A big thanks to Pete._.M for the help on this one. Couldn't have done it without them.

When you install the game, it creates a local game save folder and uses that by default. It is syncing cloud saves, but the local saves take priority and the cloud save is ignored. Found, what I think, is the solution on this. Steps Below.

On the machine having issues syncing, go to C:\Users\YOURUSERHERE\Saved Games Delete the Outer Worlds folder.
Reboot the machine.
Sign into game pass on the other machine, launch Outer Worlds, load into your most recent save, quit game.
Go back to the problem machine, and launch Xbox beta and then Outer Worlds

The most recent save should be pulled down from the cloud. This worked for me, hopefully it will work for you too.
