XBOX Game Pass on PC Ori Will of Wisps Save Games repeatedly lost / unable to play

Playing Ori and the Will of the Wisps on PC through XBOX Game Pass and am constantly losing save progress. If I do not exit the game, all of the save games look fine, can be copied, I can load auto-save backups, etc, as long as I do not exit the game. If
I exit or restart the computer, 75% of the time none of my progress is saved. I will play a section and constantly see the auto-save circle, and even get to a spring/pool where it displays "Game Saved" at the top of the screen. Exit to menu and see the progress
on the save slot. Exit the game, reopen, and the save slot is back to a previous section. If I copy the save to a new slot, that slot will usually disappear. I have replayed the same section (Baur's Reach) five times and have yet for a single save in this
section even though I unlocked the save point in this area.

Yes, I uninstalled both the game and the XBOX App and reinstalled them and made sure Windows is up to date (it is.) When I booted Ori from the fresh installation it checked the network and re-loaded my last (out of date) save data.

I tried turning Cloud Saves off but can't figure out how to. On the XBOX App, the "Offline Permissions" section just says to come back later.

Here is the clearest example I can show, with images. I played through the game for 20 minutes and then copied my save at the Wellspring Glades to slot 2 and then warped to Baur's Reach and saved the game again on slot 1.





As seen above, I am at 31% and 7:21:30 progress.

I exit out of Ori and then reopen. Hit start game and here are my saves:





I have been unable to get a save past 7 hours for over a day now. Yes, I am stubborn.

This game is seriously amazing, but right now is unplayable and I want to explode in anger.

I have found multiple threads on the microsoft forums similar to this on other games but no solutions. Many of them are locked without resolution. I know that I am not the only one having this issue, but it's also not affecting everyone. I just want save
games to save games. Please. Simple request.

On the deep dive trying to figure this out, I did find the actual folder with the Ori save files. If I rename the folder, when I open the game it downloads the old save data and makes a new folder. The folders have around 30 files with gibberish file names
that appear to have various modification date/times that coincide with the times I have been playing, but I don't know if my actual up to date saves are in there somewhere. If I do anything to them it just triggers a re-download of the out of data save data
fresh again.
