    Hello,

    I recently purchased Xbox game pass to play Ark: Survival Evolved on my PC. I downloaded it, and when I click "Play" the game goes to the first start up screen for a moment and then crashes. Can't get pass that point. Only reason I bought the pass was for
    this Game. Planning on canceling and asking for a refund if not resolved. Please help! Thank you!

    You bought the PC pass for xbox right? I am wondering since these are two different entities for different gaming platforms. If you have the PC version, try making sure the compatibility to your GPU before starting the game up. or check the support page
    directly for Ark to see any work arounds. I haven't run into any issues from the PC pass myself so I hope it get resolved for ya and you can play!

    GranMaster8, in the Windows Store application pull up ARK: Survival Evolved edition. Just below the main section or tile you'll see a couple links like: Overview, System Requirements and Reviews. Click on System Requirements and verify you machine meets
    those requirements.

    My machine (Surface Book 2), for example, does not. Just below that section, I see a Exclamation mark in a triangle that gives a little more details about my lack of Video Memory.

    If you meet the system requirements, the other thing you can try is uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

    I know it is a large download but something may be going on behind the scenes and making things grumpy.

    I had a similar issue with Cities: Skylines.

    It loaded the splash screen and then it would crash out. An uninstall, reboot and reinstall worked for me!

    Also worth noting that I can play on xbox live without an issue and I've run all the connection tests on the xbox itself and they all come back with a pass. (no issues)

    I really want to sign up for the games pass but knowing I can't even download the monthly games for gold puts the games pass into doubt... the store is not going to allow me to use the games pass the way it's intended.

    Unfortunately Game Pass does not allow you to stream purchased games. Game Pass requires a subscription to Game Pass ultimate to play any games available on the service.

    In short, in order to stream a game you need:

    • An Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription
    • The game you want to play to be available on the service.
