    Hi everyone,

    A buddy of mine just gifted me a 3 month subscription to the xbox game pass, however, I can't get it to work.

    I have tried the code online and on my xbox, as well as tried signing up without a code and it says "There is a problem on our end. Waiting a bit might help."

    I had the month trial of game pass back in April of 2019 and appears to have corrupted my account because I still see it on my account, and says that it will expire in a week but will renew itself May 1st, 2019. Yes, 2019...

    I was on hold with Microsoft support who made me do a few things and said this was the issue and they would get back to me in 24-48 hours. 72 hours later, I got an email saying the code still works and to sign in and try it, and then I got a new email saying
    they closed the case. I logged in and tried it(again) and it still didn't work.

    So far I have tried

    -Buying a brand new subscription both game pass and game pass ultimate

    -cancelling the reoccurring payment ( I was never getting charged, but figured maybe it would fix the glitch)

    -Used different cards on my account

    -Turning on reoccurring payment

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Do you currently have access to the game pass games as your own subscription?

    If so When you look online at the subscriptions you said that it shows that it will expire in one week and will renew itself on may 1st?

    If you still have access to the subscription the only thing that I could reccomend is to turn off auto renew and when you no longer hace access to the games (would mean the subscription expired then try and put the code in.

    have you tried to go to the billing option of the previous subscription and going to see if you can change the billing details and enter a code?

    Should be noted two things

    First are you in a gamepass region?

    Gift codea are region locked

    And if you arent in a game pass region buying foreign codes will not work.xbox live regions arent all supported by gamepass yet

    If you are using a phone its best to use your console or non chrome/safari browser like edge or firefox
