Xbox Game Pass Games Disappearing??? (Gears 5)

Hi there

I was playing Gears of War 5 yesterday and today it’s suddenly gone from the Games Pass list of games. Is this only on my end or do others experience this too?

Gears of War 5 wasn’t even in the list of games that would be leaving Games Pass anytime soon.

I also find it strange that some games are leaving Games Pass. For example I read that Red Dead Redemption 2 was in there in 2020 but not anymore and it’s really a title I’d love to play.

Any idea what’s going on?

I’m talking about the streaming Xbox Games Pass Ultimate version. That’s why I posted it here in the Xbox Cloud section.

So what is the answer exactly regarding my question then? Gears of Wars 5 just disappeared without any warning.

It's been replaced with Gears 5 Game of the Year edition by the looks of it but that isn't available for cloud streaming at this time.

Hello Atom and Happy New Year, you are playing the PC or on the console, the game continues in the Game Pass catalog as you can see in the link below.

If you are in the console try clearing the cache and checking for any system updates.

1. Go to xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on your console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds for it to turn off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

Then do the procedure below:

MAC Address

Settings » Network Settings » Advanced Settings » Alternate MAC Address » Click Clear

Will ask to restart the console.

If it's on your PC, make sure you've got the latest version of the system installed and if you have your Xbox Apps updated in the store.

Hello again, you are using the xCloud service in this case may have come out because the service catalog is not the same as the Game Pass, xCloud does not have all the games.
