Xbox Game Pass for Windows 10 won't install or play games

Hi All,

I have just bought a new PC but am still using the same hard drive as before, I am having the issue where games won't launch if already installed, will get stuck on preparing if I try to install a new game. The situation I am now in however is one that when
I try to Reinstall the app as a whole it get's stuck installing that with no progress on the installation bar.

Since Minecraft is not a Play Anywhere title you would have to purchase the Windows 10 version in order to play it on the PC even though you own it for the Xbox. They are considered different. Same reason as to why it won't install through Game Pass since
Games Pass is primarily for the console and only games that are also Play Anywhere titles can be downloaded and played on the PC through Game Pass.

I just reinstalled windows as the drive is only a week old anyway. All working now

Windows will not use previously installed content if you either change pc or even reset the pc.

you have to remove the files and then start again.

have you got the files located on another drive.
