    Xbox Game Pass for PC not allowing me to sign in


    Howdy! I'm having a slight issue logging into my recently purchased Xbox Game Pass for PC. I attempt to login to the Xbox App, after confirming that the Xbox Console Companion is logged in.

    When I attempt to login, I see my login information for a split second. The barest of moments. After that, it asks me to log in again. No error message. No acknowledgement that I had logged in at all. I cannot access any games or settings at all, to see if I have things in place. Cannot download or even view any games.

    I have attempted the following steps to fix the issue, to no avail, and with no particular order:

    Checked Network Connectivity (Good. I'm chatting with you on the machine I want to work)
    Checked Xbox Status (Silky smooth, from what I can tell)
    Rebooted device
    Ensured location where I have the Xbox app is the same where I want to install games
    Verified Xbox Account is active on xbox.com
    Ensured Time & Language settings were proper
    Uninstalled and reinstalled Xbox app
    Removed and added Microsoft account from my machine, making sure user name/pw were correct
    Deleted files located in C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker from recommendations from another tech support thread. Restarted PC and reloaded app. Verified that new, fresh files took its place. No help.
    Reset the Xbox app data within Windows

    Reregistered the Xbox Game Pass by using powershell in admin mode, and inputting:
    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
    Get-AppXPackage | % {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" -verbose}
    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Run wsreset.exe to Reset Microsoft Store Data.
    Reset/Restore my Windows OS (Of course I updated my PC after this)

    I'm starting to run out of ideas. I was able to get cloud services going, which is somewhat a good sign, but unable to install and play locally.

    I'm excited to give this thing a try, if we can get it going!

    I tried your advice, and several of them were indeed not running. However, after performing the tasks you requested, it has not changed the result. Still getting the same issues.

    Do you have any other ideas?

    1. Right-click on the Windows icon.

    2. Select Command Prompt (Admin).

    3. In the User Account Control pop-up window, confirm your choice.

    4. In the new window, enter the following commands, pressing Enter after each:

    ipconfig/flushdns

    ipconfig/registerdns

    ipconfig/release

    ipconfig/renew

    netsh winsock reset

    Restart your PC and try logging into the app again, please.

    Thank you for the help! I tried the steps outlined above, within admin mode, and unfortunately, I am getting the exact same response. Any other ideas?

    I'm Samy an independent advisor. Welcome to the Xbox community. How are you?

    Press the Windows Button then type Services.

    Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.

    Then select Run as Administrator

    Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

    IP Helper

    Xbox Live Auth Manager,

    Xbox Live Game Save,

    Xbox Live Networking Service,

    Gaming Services.

    Do this with each of the services listed above.

    Right-click over the service and select Properties.

    Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.

    If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

    Click Apply and OK to save changes.

    Restart your PC and then try logging in to the app again.
