    Xbox game pass code not working


    I received a message on my Xbox from Xbox saying I’ve received 5 months of game pass for free and it gives me a code. When I enter the code it says “check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem it on a different web page.”

    I’ve tried on Xbox, on Xbox.com, and Microsoft.com

    Xbox One Gold >> Game Pass

    The 14 day codes are trials and will only work with new subscribers to Game Pass, which is why there's an error. You would need a code that is not a trial code (anything 1 month or above) or purchase Game Pass (or Ultimate) directly from Xbox.

    Do you have Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate? Because the error speak about "conversion", maybe you are trying to redeem an Xbox Live code of a different region and conversion to Game Pass Ultimate don't work in this way. As additional information the codes
    are always region assigned.
