Don't worry, it's simple. All you have to do is download Minecraft Launcher again and sign in there with the same Microsoft account used to originally purchase the game.

Keep in mind that worlds created in Minecraft Java Edition when playing on the previous PC won't transfer automatically. You'll need to make a backup and transfer them to the new PC from the following directory:

C:\Users\[Your_Username]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves

Xbox isn't suitable for indie developers whereas Steam, PS and N are.

Do you try to install it on an Xbox or PC? If you are on Xbox you may have to set up the new HDD for the installations as standard. If it is an update for the game you should try to move it to the new HDD. That should fix it on the console. If you try
it on your PC you should check, if the HHD you try to install it is the new one too.

is there a way to move this to a new pc as well and save the game data. My son and I have a world on here (which is why we use it) and I would like to move it to a new pc. I already have installed the app but have no idea where the data is. It's not
under program files or data
