    My son got an xbox one s for his birthday. We got him the game ultimate subscription but his aunt got him a 3 month subscription for game live. Can we add this to the ultimate subscription and extend it. We have already signed up for the ultimate subscription.

    Yes they can. You set the one that has no Xbox live as Home Xbox of the profile that has Xbox Live. This then shares Xbox Live and games. The profile with Xbox Live can sign in on any other console and have access to their Xbox live and games.

    Wikkiwild1 is correct GFWL uses your Xbox live account but Xbox Live Gold is not required to play Games For Windows Live games.
