Xbox Game Freezes, Makes Noise, and Shuts Off

This happens to many of us. Nothing serious to worry about. It usually happens after an update or keeping your console idle for too long. I would hard reset your xbox just to be on the safe side.

I have had this issue with a few games but not very often maybe only once a month. I have yet to figure out what causes it but I would try making sure your xbox isn’t overheating.

The system doesn't seem hot to me. I considered that and kinda checked for heat and and I don't feel anything. I work full time and have stuff to do with the kids, so I don't use the system constantly in the day. I'm lucky if I can get on there for an
hour every few days to work on a game. This issue will take place like 10 min into a game when the system hasn't even been used in days.

As for games, I only buy the physical copies. I never buy digital copies. I have had disc read errors occasionally too.

I'm 36 and have owned many game systems over the years, and I always take great care of them. I've had the system a couple years so it's probably out of warranty. I dunno, maybe it's just on it way out.

You havent mentioned overheating but that might be a factor as my xbox that I have since replaced very occasionaly shut down due to heat issues.

If not down to that, I'd be a little concerned. If under warranty I'd take it back.

Also was it a disc game or a digital one? Just wondered if it's a drive issue maybe
