Xbox Game Exchange - Digital to Disc

Hi, I spoke with a representative about exchanging my digital copy of Halo 5 Guardians to a disc copy of the game and they showed me the promo for doing that ended on November 1. My question is why is this only a promo and can't be done outside the Nov.
1 deadline? All I can think of is there is a technical issue if you can't delete the digital copy from my account and sending me a disc copy would leave me with two copies of the game and I could theoretically profit from that by selling the disc. It would
surprise me that microsoft can not delete the digital copy of the game from my account once the physical copy is sent in the mail. In theory if I paid for the game and deleting the digital copy can be done, a disc copy should be able to be sent regardless
of any promotional time period.

If I could just have this clarified a bit further on the WHY this is not possible or allowed that would be fantastic!

This is certainly not an end of the world issue, I more so was just looking for case of the game to put in my collection, is it possible a copy of the case could be mailed? It's an odd request! I know!

DVD Drive doesn't read discs

I just wanted to add that if you would like digital downloads of the games that you have on disc you'll need to purchase them as Xbox does not do disc to digital exchanges, or vice versa.

 

Forza Horizon 3 physical copy exchange to digital copy

Hello! I have the disc version of the game and I want to exchange it to digital copy. Is it possible?

 

Because first and foremost it was only for collectors edition where they didn't get a bluray disc copy

Since you had already redeems the codes you can't claim the disc as it is the terms of the promo

Promos have certain conditions you have to meet

Redeemed codes can't be returned ask gamestop or any store for that matter codes cannot be returned

You need to have not redeemed code and no no console can delete purchased games

 

Here's my opinion on that one. First. All redeemable codes are one time use and non removable from an account. That's why once a game code was redeemed on that specific account, the license is then applied. Digital purchase games have a different type of
license. The license for these digital items are revocable or reversible as transactions can be cancelled. So they made sure that this specific license can be revoked.

Also. As what ngocphi said. Its a promotional process and not a permanent process. So there are conditions and deadlines to meet.

 

Can't be removed I have had refunds beforehand it does not stop you from getting the content again the only way to remove the license is for ban you
