    Xbox game drive problem


    I have a problem with my Xbox game drive(external storage). When I plug it in my Xbox, my Xbox shuts down after a few seconds.

    If I don't have the storage plugged in , the Xbox console works fine. Hope I'll find a solution.

    Xbox original games on 360

    The most common problem is either with the game and/or the hard drive.

    For example, some original xbox games are able to be played.

    The problem with the hard drive is the it can only play original xbox games if your xbox has a Microsoft brand hard drive.

    Hi I had similar issue with a external drive which I fixed by doing a softreset/power cycle by holding the power button on the xbox for 10 seconds intill it switches of

    I had the same problem with external storage. You can try plugging it into another port. I had to replace my storage because eventually nothing could be retrieved from the device.
