    hi my child has added their gift card to the Microsoft account that is not connected to their xbox - is there any way this can be resolved by changing email addresses? or gifting in any way? He wants to by V-bucks on Fortnite?

    Hello Ivan, from what I understand he wants to buy V-bucks right, and put balance in the Microsoft account, but he plays for Xbox, if yes he will be able to buy the V-Bucks without problems and will appear in the account, but if he does not have Xbox and plays for the PC will not get them to appear in the account, he will have to buy directly by Epic.

    What type of gift card was it? (Currency/Subscription)

    Unfortunately, if the gift card is for Microsoft Currency you will not be able to transfer or refund. The funds will get attached to the account it was redeemed on.

    Microsoft account currency cards once redeemed on your account can be used for all Microsoft services, including Xbox Store on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. So, the answer to your question is yes.

    Unfortunately, you are unable to refund a gift card that has been redeemed. Xbox Support are unable to transfer across accounts.

    "Important Before you redeem your code, make sure that you're signed in to the correct Microsoft account on your device or browser. Codes that are redeemed on the wrong account cannot be transferred to another Microsoft account by Xbox Support."

    Hey there Ruscito,

    Unfortunately, support can't do anything as well. If you review this page
    support.xbox.com/.../microsoft-points-retire-faq    , you will see there that local credits are not transferrable from one account to another. Though if the account where you redeemed the codes is the parental account and the intended account is a child account
    under the same family. You actually should have the option to add credits to the child account. I saw this feature just awhile ago on
