    Xbox game captures.


    So randomly my xbox stopped catpturing clips and i dont know why. I have deleted all my captures to see if that works and it didnt Also was told to hold the xbox button for 10 secs and unplug when it turned off for 30 seconds and it still did nothing.
    Can someone help me figure out why my xbox wont record clips anymore.

    Sadly, so far it is not possible to disable this button but a workaround that might help you is to disable the GAME DVR.

    To disable Xbox Game DVR on your Xbox One, hit the Xbox button and head to Settings. Joystick down to ‘Preferences, then select ‘Capture & share’. Toggle the first option, ‘Allow game captures’, from ‘Captures by me or games’ to ‘Don’t capture’ to disable Xbox Game DVR. Alternatively, you can toggle this option to ‘Captures by me’.

    I was doing the same thing. I used my Xbox as a game capture device so that I could stream that to the console companion and have OBS capture the console companion for Mixer. I didn't have money for a capture device, so I was pretty disappointed to find
    I couldn't capture my games through my Xbox anymore.

    my point was since xbox game bar is capable of screen capture can I just have it capture my screen i.e. just as a screen capture to show for instance where saves and files are or just screen capture on windows explorer to show where to move files...
    etc not just for games

    What I do is capture my game with Xbox capture . Then Go to my captures on xbox app or xbox.com. Download them to my pc and edit them then put them on youtube . Easy way to by pass everything complicated.
