I've noticed that when using game capture on the Series X the audio is de-synced and played ahead of the associated moment in the video by 2 to 7 seconds. I have noticed this in all video captures taken in the last month.

    Hello!

My name is Dérek, I'm an independent platform consultant and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help you.

OutlawSkot33, normally this is due to a corrupted system file. And it is solved by 2 methods.

Test simpler first, and make a new clip to see if it's fixed.

    If not, test the second

1-Press and hold the power button on your Xbox for 10 seconds, wait for it to turn off. Unplug it. Now wait 1 minute before turning it on.

2- Press the Xbox button to open the dashboard.

Select System > Settings > System > Console Information

    Select Reset Console.

Restore and keep my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

When asking to pull settings from an old xbox, put no

You will have to log in your accounts again, that's all

I remain at your disposal if you have any further questions.

No clue on the corrupted system file as mentioned above given the number of people having the same issue (I'm not an Adviser)

KzeeTS had some success in resolving it in their second post on this thread:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/audiovideos-delay-of-captures/

I haven't gotten around to trying it yet so no clue if this is a one-off or if it can resolve it for all those with the issue but worth trying

My Xbox Series S Game DVR Captures has no sound.

    Hello ,

Thank you for your response. Below are the settings that allowed me to have audio in my DVR recordings, using an Xbox Series X and my own television. I recorded clips from various games and all clips had game audio.

First, please make sure that your console is completely updated. Go to Settings > System > Updates to get the latest firmware.

    Audio Settings:

General > Volume & Audio Output

    • Speaker Audio:
      • HDMI Audio
        • 7.1 uncompressed
    • Headset Audio
      • Headset format
        • Windows Sonic
    Advanced > Additional options

    • No boxes checked
    • Party chat options set to Headset & speakers
    Preferences > Capture & share

    • Capture
      • Allow game captures > captures by me or games
      • Record what happened > 30 seconds
      • Automatically upload > Captured by me
      • Game clip resolution > 1080p SDR (1 minute max)
      • Capture location > Internal storage

Okay Then, I just tried your recommended setting, along with a few tweaks. But however, my recorded video still has no audio whatsoever. And also, if I managed to fix it, the video could de-sync. (Meaning the audio plays ahead of the video.) Is there something wrong with it?

    Here are my settings:

    Audio Settings:

General > Volume & Audio Output

    • Speaker Audio:

      HDMI Audio: Stereo Uncompressed

      Headset Audio: Windows Sonic
    Advanced > Additional options

    • No boxes checked
    • Party chat options set to Headset & speakers
    Preferences > Capture & share

    • Capture
      • Allow game captures > captures by me
      • Record what happened > 30 seconds
      • Automatically upload > Captured by me
      • Game clip resolution > 720p SDR (3 minutes max)
      • Capture location > External storage
And also, Here's the OneDrive Link of the Video: https://1drv.ms/v/s!Ak29DRJXFmOjimsxv9i4XEE9uuBU?e=DsUGYf

    recording in party

To be able to record party chat audio you will need an Elgato or anything external capture card as that will capture any audio on your Xbox (Party, Game, All audio)

Xbox One S - Recording Game Clip To External Hard Drive, No Mic Audio Recorded

    Hi there,

Thanks for your post! Natively, the GameDVR function only captures video and audio from the game being recorded. In order to get voice audio for your gameplay, you may want to consider an external audio capture device or a capture card that supports capturing
    audio of these together.

    I hope this information helps.
