XBOX game "Buffy the vampire slayer" XBOX360

according to the xbox360 xbox compatibility game list Buffy the vampire slayer is supported for backwards compatibility. When I launch the game I recieve an error stating: This original xbox game is not supported on your Xbox 360 console. An update to support
this game may be available. I am currently connected to the internet so I should be fully up to date. Any way to get around this error to get the game to launch?

Usually, this error occurs to people who use a hard drive that is not an official Xbox hard drive.

This may come in the form of a third-party hard drive (identical to brands/models that MS uses with their official hardware) with flashed firmware to make it run on the Xbox 360. While it may work for Xbox 360 game installs and saves, it will not work at
all for original Xbox titles for backward compatibility due to a missing partition that handles original Xbox emulation.
