    Xbox Game Bar will not record audio while recording device is being used by another...


    I have Xbox Game Bar on my computer as I use it to record game clips, that gets pretty irritating to do if Xbox Game Bar won't record my microphone and only my friends'.

    I have all the settings on to enable Xbox Game Bar to record all of the audio on my system, including my microphone. But most of the time it still does not.

    Is there a way to fix this? Or is there a different clipping software I should use.

    While this fix did seemingly increase the success rate of clips recording my microphone, the issue persists.

    I've tried the other person who replied's fix too. Nothing seems to work so far.

    Appears to work, but this might just be a coincidence, because (as I forgot to state in the post) sometimes it did record audio, it was just inconsistent with it most of the time ending up not recording my voice. I'll let you know if I continue to have any problems with recording my microphone in clips.

    Xbox Game Bar will not record audio while recording device is being used by another application.

    open the sound control panel app, go to recording tab, select the mic and select properties, go to advanced tab or along those lines, untick give application exclusive control and then try.
