Xbox Game Bar Voice Chat Issues

On PC as of a week ago, party chat only works if I have it open. When it’s closed, I can hear my friends, but they can’t hear me. I have found a temporary solution by disabling the xbox app’s access to my microphone in windows settings, and resetting the game bar app. Unfortunately, I need to do this every time I boot up my PC. I am on windows 11. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
