    Xbox game bar unable to background record.


    Hi there. I'm having issues with my gamebar, and I'm on desktop. It opens fine, and the captures tab opens but whenever I try to begin recording or start background recording, I always get a, "We can't record right now, try again later." or "There was a
    problem with background recording. Try again in a little while."

    I've tried reinstalling the Xbox app as well as gamebar, I've tried moving the captures folder, I've updated everything, tried resetting store, and I've been to countless other forums trying solutions people have posted, and nothing seems to work. When I
    try to record with the default Win + Alt + R nothing happens but when I open gamebar with Win + G and try recording, I get issues.

    It was working fine beforehand, and there's more than enough space on my hard drive. I have no idea what the issue is, hoping someone could fix it if possible.

    1. Press Windows key + I, to open Settings.
    2. Click on Gaming and select Captures from the left pane.
    3. Under Background recording, toggle the switch to right for Record in the background while I’m playing a game.
    4. Try recording the game now.

    While you're playing a game, press the Windows logo key + G to open Xbox Game Bar.
    Choose Widget Menu > Capture.
    Choose Start recording, Take screenshot, or Record last….
    Record last… turns the most recent moments of play into a game clip when background recording is turned on. Set the duration in Windows Settings > Gaming > Captures.
    Find your game clips and screenshots by opening Game Bar and selecting Widget Menu > Gallery.
    To set your resolution and upmarket everything to 4K:
    To capture game footage, make sure the Record in the background while I'm playing a game checkbox is selected in Game Bar settings (or turn it on in Windows Settings > Gaming > Captures).
    For some PC games, Game Bar won't appear in full screen mode. To start and stop recordings without Game Bar, use the keyboard shortcut Windows logo key + Alt + R. The screen will flash to indicate the start and end of recording. If background recording is on, Windows logo key + Alt + G will record the last moments of play.
    If the shortcuts don't work for a full-screen game, press the Windows logo key + G. The screen will flash twice to confirm that the game has been recognised. Then, re-open the game in full screen mode.

    You can open Game bar and click record. That allows you to record for how ever long you need. Yes it will be one file but it slows the game down and displays a recording icon. you can also record the last 10 minutes without the slow down and icon that
    is what Recording in the background is.

    You can completely disable the Game Bar if you go to your Windows Settings>Gaming, first thing you will see there is an option to be able to use the Game Bar for recordings ands friends, you can disable it. If you only want to diable recordings go to Settings>Gaming>Captures, there you will find an option to disable the Background Recording characteristic

    In the game bar, hit the cog > Capturing > tick the boxes for 'Record in the background while I'm playing a game' & 'Show microphone recording notifications'

    Another thing to check is what shortcut is mapped to the record shortcut via Shortcuts
