xbox game bar status only says online

I've seen a few posts on this, but nothing recent. Only a very few set of games show up in the xbox status for me, is there any new information on this. I'm on windows 11 and I've done "remember this is a game" check box but I'm pretty sure that only works for recordings. I'm tried the insider track as well but none seem to work, for example Cod Modern Warfare works, but not Vanguard which I find weird( there are other posts in the last few months). Everyone states there is little need for an Xbox if you have a decent PC, but that's been far from the truth(been playing PC games for almost 30 years).

Thats exactly it, my friends cannot tell if I'm playing a game, or if my computer is just on because it says online, and its to the point I don't get invites anymore. It seemed this worked much better before I sold my Xbox, it was recognizing games from Steam much better, but ever since I went to windows 11 only a very few games actually show up anymore. I've already done the feedback, but was hoping there was something more I missed.

Just to confirm if we've got your concern, is this all about the status that should display the title of the game you are playing however it is now showing online? I have the same issue with Diablo IV on the xbox game bar. The game was install using battle.net. It appears the xbox game bar recognizes it is a game however, my status only shows online. I believe this is the only game so far that I have encounter this issue. The resources top task in the game bar shows battle.net as high and not Diablo IV, but the task manager shows Diablo IV. Call of Duty was installed using battle.net as well; however, xbox game bar shows the status as playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

The activity status of the Xbox Game Bar on Windows 10 only shows activity information for certain games and apps that support it. The activity status will display "Online" if the game is online-only, and "Nothing" if the game does not support the activity status feature. The support for this feature is determined by the developers of the games and apps, and can vary from game to game.
