    Xbox Game Bar resolution problems

    Hello,

So, on my PC, my display scale for text, apps and other items is 150%. I feel that anything under is way too small for my liking. But, when recording using the game bar, if my display scale is at 150%, the recording will be cropped. The recording will display my footage in the top left corner instead of filling the whole screen. Obviously, I could just change my display scale every time I record and once finished, I can change it back but this is inconvenient and tedious. Is there any way I can record clips in full screen using the game bar without altering my display scale? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Resetting it. It just doesn't seem to work. Although, it's interesting that when recording my browser, Xbox game bar records in full screen. If I switch to a game during that recording, the recording will end.

In conclusion, if there is a way to record in full screen using the Xbox Game Bar without changing any display scale settings, please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

    Hi josef,

Yeah as i said, im on windows 10. i can change my laptop resolution but this just means there is 2 huge black bars on the laptop itself. so ideally if i could record the game in my normal resolution, would be best, cheers

How to change Xbox game bar resolution.

Looking up the specs of your laptop, it almost certainly lacks dedicated capture hardware. Most likely your laptop is reducing the game resolution in order to use that power to compress the video.

Xbox capture goes directly from the frame buffer, so whatever the game is running at is what you get

How to change Xbox game bar resolution.

Thanks for the feedback Peter, and sorry. My bad

    Which resolution your PC has?

By the way, is this the first time you use the game bar?

Or the issue started happening recently?

If it's the second, do you know if your windows system received an update?

Your Huawei matebook laptop has both dedicated and integrated GPU?

In the meantime try reinstalling game bar:

Right-click on the Start button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) from the pop-up menu.

Copy and paste the following command in PowerShell and hit Enter to uninstall the Game Bar from your system.

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage

Restart your PC and now head over to Microsoft Store and search for Xbox Game Bar and try testing again

XBOX screen doesn't show up on projector

Hello IronHOME2016, I am an independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today. My name is Khaji

The problem you are experiencing when trying to display the Xbox screen on the projector may be related to the HDMI connection settings and compatibility between the devices. Here are some possible solutions and steps you can follow:

Check the sound bar settings. Make sure the sound bar is configured correctly to transmit the HDMI video signal from the Xbox to the projector. Review the soundbar's input and output settings and make sure they are set to output video correctly.

Try a direct connection To rule out any problems with the sound bar, try connecting the Xbox directly to the projector using a high-quality HDMI cable. This will help you determine if the problem is related to the sound bar or if it is something specific to the connection between the Xbox and the projector.

Check your resolution and refresh rate settings and make sure your Xbox is set correctly for resolution and refresh rate. Some projectors may have specific resolution and refresh rate requirements to properly display the image. Make sure the Xbox is configured to meet the projector requirements.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding! If you need anything else, do not hesitate to contact us again.
