Xbox Game Bar recorder audio issue

Hi there,

I don't play games much anymore, but up until recently, I really enjoyed the Xbox Game Bar for recording my Dell XPS laptop screen. I am studying and I record the video tutorials, so when I'm travelling and out of internet range, I can still continue with my classwork.

Up until recently, it worked perfectly, the video quality was good and the sound was excellent. Now, the video is a little grainy, but the audio is just dreadful. It's all distorted. When I play the original video, the video and sound are excellent, its just when I play back the recording its all squelched.

I am using Windows 10, Dell XPS i7. I have looked at the privacy settings, all good. I've gone through Xbox Game Bar Settings, all good.

I'm tearing my hair out, and as I'm travelling soon I really need to find a resolution.

Can anyone shed some light?

Have you tried adjusting your "Audio to record" settings in Xbox Game Bar?

Open Xbox Game Bar

Click the "Settings" icon (Gear icon)

On the left panel of the settings window, select "Capturing"

Under the "Audio to record" section, enable either the "Game" or the "All" settings.

In this case, using the "All" setting may be more beneficial to you as you're recording a presentation, not a game.

Hi there, I just get an error page. Seems Xbox support is not working at the moment.

I Think with the audio Controls In Xbox Game Bar Affect the Transmission and recording gameplayers, but no affect the game volume, for that you need change in game
