Discus and support Xbox Game Bar Party Chat in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; Out of the blue yesterday I got the 0x803F8001 error.     Xbox Game Bar Party Chat


    Out of the blue yesterday I got the 0x803F8001 error. Sounds like the service was down, but I went a head and updated to the new Windows 2004 update. After I did that it started working. However now whenever I join a party I can hear people but they can't
    hear me. And if I start a party i can't hear them and they can't hear me. My mic is being recognized and even my name is highlighting when I speak but no one can hear me. My mic is working in all other programs discord, steam etc. and in games like Sea of
    Thieve and Warzone. Xbox Game Bar is version 5.420.10222.0 and Windows is Version 2004 Build: 19041.610 Experience: 120.2212.31.0. I'm using a pfsense router that is handling teredo. Everything was fine up until yesterday when I got that 0x8 error. Any suggestions
    or do you think I just need to wait for an update on gamebar? I did try the repair and reset and still no luck.

    is windows10 xbox app not able to make parties anymore?

    Party chat on Windows/Xbox App still works. An alternative is the Xbox game bar Party.

    To bring up the Xbox game bar, Hold the Windows button and Press "G"

    From there you will be able to initiate a Party and Much more!

    Why cant my XBOX party hear me on PC unless Gamebar is open? my default devices settings are correct on both Xbox And Gamebar apps.

    There is a workaround: in Game Bar you can pin the party chat so that it stays active when the Game Bar overlay disappears. Click the pin icon on the party chat widget. Hopefully they fix it properly soon.

    PC xbox app: game bar audio bug

    I have the same issue. The workaround I'm using is to "pin" the Party Chat Game Bar widget. This way, the party chat stays visible when the rest of the Game Bar overlay disappears, and it keeps your mic active.
