Xbox game bar notification "Starting background recording, microphone recording is on."

Whenever I switch back to a game I get this notification and I don't want to receive it. I want the microphone recording to remain on but I don't want to receive the notification every time I change focus back to a game.

I've already looked in the game-bar settings and have turned off a couple of things that should prevent me from receiving it but that didn't work.

So how do I disable it? Is there even a way to begin with.

    :)

Hi all! I want to record my screen via xbox game bar, but it doesn't work.

    Hi Shoxrux

Can you check the following settings

In the game bar, hit the cog > Capturing > tick the boxes for 'Record in the background while I'm playing a game' & 'Show microphone recording notifications'

Another thing to check is what shortcut is mapped to the record shortcut via Shortcuts

    DVR Not recording

I had same issue of the dvr not recording when i requested ' xbox record that' I was getting the notification saying that the clip was being recorded however there was no notification saying that the recording had ended. However the dvr recorded automatically
    when being promoted etc.

My fix was the snap the game dvr while playing the game so that its on in the background. Now all my xbox record that requests are now being saved and ready for editing

Is it possible to screen record Xbox party chat in the Xbox app?

    Hello EthanSL
My name is Ezequiel. I'm an Independent Consultant and I'm happy to help you today. Yes is possible.

While you're playing a game, press the Windows logo key + G to open Xbox Game Bar.
    Choose Widget Menu > Capture.
Choose Start recording, Take screenshot, or Record last….
Record last… turns the most recent moments of play into a game clip when background recording is turned on. Set the duration in Windows Settings > Gaming > Captures.
Find your game clips and screenshots by opening Game Bar and selecting Widget Menu > Gallery.
To set your resolution and upmarket everything to 4K:
To capture game footage, make sure the Record in the background while I'm playing a game checkbox is selected in Game Bar settings (or turn it on in Windows Settings > Gaming > Captures).
For some PC games, Game Bar won't appear in full screen mode. To start and stop recordings without Game Bar, use the keyboard shortcut Windows logo key + Alt + R. The screen will flash to indicate the start and end of recording. If background recording is on, Windows logo key + Alt + G will record the last moments of play.
If the shortcuts don't work for a full-screen game, press the Windows logo key + G. The screen will flash twice to confirm that the game has been recognised. Then, re-open the game in full screen mode.

    Games and microphone reccording problem

    Hi Iman976,

Since this is happening with games bought and used from different platforms, there may be a PC setting that is causing this to happen. There's a possible setting where you have to turn on the microphone to record voice in your videos.

Go ahead and follow this guide to set up your headset microphone or any other microphone you use:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027981/windows-10-how-to-set-up-and-test-microphones

On the Game bar, go ahead and toggle the microphone mute button on and off when recording a video to test it out.

    Windows 10 Gamebar Mouse Cursor

    Hey Ilisuan,

    1. Press Windows key + I, to open Settings.
    2. Click on Gaming and select Captures from the left pane.
    3. Under Background recording, toggle the switch to right for Record in the background while I’m playing a game.
    4. Try recording the game now.
