Xbox Game Bar Not Letting Me Type Or Sent Messages

Right just sent you a message, it says message sent, let me know if you get it thanks dude

when I type it doesn't play any sound when i send the message etc it just displays the text. and its not on any game its just on the xbox game bar app

Hey, Pauln241! We don't have any information on what that message would be without any insight. We're unable to locate a code that might have been sent to you that was sent out on the 18th.

There are several different types of messages that come from the Xbox Live account. It's likely that the message was simply just a reminder about something with Games with Gold.

I am unable to send messages. It let's me type the message, it says "sending" for a little while and then the message I typed disappears and the other person does not receive it. This happens on the console and on the mobile app. I have checked
to see if I have been banned but it says I haven't. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

Hey there! I have this issue all the time! Its just a glitch in the system. Sometimes for myself the gamertag completely disappears on my messages. They probably received it, but it could be unknow.

It could be just a glitch, but it's been constant for about 2 weeks. It's weird. I type the message it looks like it has sent but when I come out of the message thread and go back in, the message I sent has disappeared and they definitely aren't receiving any.

Can everyone try this:

Type "Microphone privacy settings" in the search bar at the bottom left of Windows. Scroll down and enable the microphone for Xbox app.

Come back here and let me know if this worked.
