    Xbox Game Bar - Missing Audio Mixer


    Hello everyone!
    First of all, I am want to apologize for my english, it is not my native language.

    Problem
    The Xbox Box Game Bar Audio tab has no more audio mixer, volume sliders for various apps are gone in one day. I spot this 2 days ago, and so it is realy confusing me.

    What I tried to do to solve this:

    • Scan system for corrupted files:
    1. sfc /scannow in safe mode - it shows some non-fixeble error
    2. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth to fix image
    3. sfc /scannow once again - corrupted files was finaly fixed
    4. no effect

    • Windows 10 Troubleshooting:
    1. I tried to troubleshoot with Windows 10 Troubleshooting tab in Parameters
    2. During this process Windows reinstalled Realtek Audio Driver
    3. no effect

    • Windows 10 autodownload drivers:
    1. I deleted Audio device
    2. I restarted system, waited until Windows download Audio Driver
    3. no effect

    • Deleted all Nvidia drivers and services because it install some audio driver (for HDMI I assume):
    1. So, I deleted all of it
    2. Installed new up-to-date version of driver with clean install
    3. no effect

    • Reset Xbox Game Bar app:
    1. In Parameters -> Applications -> Applications and possibilities find the app
    2. In advanced view tried to end app with button there - blue screen, no effect
    3. Reseted app settings with button - no effect
    4. Reseted settings + Fix button - app has been deleted
    5. Reinstalled app from Windows Store
    6. the problem is still there

    I saw a couple of similar questions here, but there is no useful answers.
    Is there anybody who saw that thing and know how to beat it?

    Xbox Game Bar - Missing Audio Mixer

    My sound hardware is working, the problem is there is no mixer in Xbox Game Bar. I went to appulas, as you say, and search for some time. Only one thing looks similar to your description - the article named "Fix: Realtek Digital Output has no sound" (https://appuals.com/fix-realtek-digital-output-no-sound/).
    It is not my case at all - it say about "no sound", but I has sound. The article offers 2 solutions:

    1. Select sound device - my sound device is selected.
    2. Delete and install Realtek driver - as I wrote, I already did that.

    So, the question is still open.

    Thanks for your suggestion, but no, I didn't clicked that "Star" button, mixer just stopped working oneday without any noticed reason. Anyway, I reinstalled app with full settings reset, so if it was the "Star"-thing, it supposed to go away. But it didn't
    :(.

    By the way, you can try to reinstall app too, even if it couldn't help me, it might work for you - "Reset Xbox Game Bar app:" section.

    This doesn't mean your sound hardware isn't working but more of a configuring issue of the drivers. Appuals.com has a step by step fix for this. Home page - how to - Fix:Realtek digital output. Happy Gaming.

    Did you by chance click on a "Star" next to one of the applications in the audio mixer?

    I have the same problem, and it started only today. I noticed it after I had clicked "Star" to favorite an application. After that, no more applications in the mixer.

    Game sounds too quiet

    • With your headset attached, press the glowing “Xbox” button
    • Navigate to the “System” tab
    • Select “Audio”
    • Adjust the “Headset chat mixer” option
      • Slide the bar left to favor game audio
      • Slide the bar right to favor chat audio
