    Xbox game bar doesn't record in a game


    So recently my xbox game bar randomly decided to stop recording games. Before I was recording games (without being in fullscreen) just fine. Now all of a sudden I can't record, take screenshots or replay because they are greyed out. I've tried tutorials like resetings, repairing, updating, reverting windows updates, registry edit, and its still blanked out. No matter what game I try it doesnt work. Please help me as I dont want to use other recording software since my computer specs are bad.

    I also noticed when going into settings > gaming > capture, there is no recording preferences anymore.

    I did the steps except there was no "GameDVR" folder in step 5. Still not working or capturing

    This should help you out!

    Step 1 : Press the Windows + S keys to open the Windows Search.

    Step 2 : In the search bar, type Registry Editor and choose Run as administrator

    Step 3 : Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore

    Set the value of DWORD "GameDVR_Enabled" to 1

    Step 4 : Then Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR

    Set the value of DWORD "AppCaptureEnabled" to 1

    Step 5 : Then Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\GameDVR

    Set the value of DWORD "AllowGameDVR" to 1

    Step 6 : Restart your PC and everything should work ;)

    Okay! Open the Start menu, and select Settings > Gaming and make sure Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Xbox Game Bar is On. If Xbox Game Bar doesn't appear for a full-screen game, try keyboard shortcuts: Press the Windows logo key + Alt + R to start recording a clip, then press it again to stop.

    Sign in On Xbox Companion and Xbox Game Bar Doesn't Work

    I don't need help with recording clips. I need help trying to sign into my game bar because as of right now I cannot sign into my Microsoft account.
