    Xbox Game Bar does not react to anything.


    Hello there,

    So, I'm having an issue with the aforementioned Xbox Game Bar as it literally doesn't do anything despite whatever I try.

    The problem originates from trying moving the AppData folder as to save space on my only SSD, on which windows is installed on. That is a whole another can of worms but right now everything is back where it was, apart from me setting up a few junction folders for the largest elements that I know the origin of and were movable.

    However, since then, along with a few other issues, Xbox Game Bar refuses to do anything, even after several different tries, which were:
    -Checking its settings both in Gaming and Apps where everything is enabled.
    -Going into its app settings, terminating it then both repair and resetting it.
    -Looking into the registry at 2 different places I found with searching online so far, but unfortunately they were as they should be.
    -Checking in Local Group Policy Editor as another video described but everything as in order there as well.
    -Reinstalling via Powershell with the following command: Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage , which did not do anything either.

    At this point I actually think that only reinstalling Windows would help and the worst part is that if I randomly create a new local user it works there without an issue.

    If any suggestions remain I'd be glad to hear them, I very much dislike the hassle of having to reinstall everything as my drive is not partitioned.

    From the description you have provided it seems you're Xbox Game Bar is not working correctly. This apparently happened when you tried to move the AppData folder to save space on your SDD by using junction points.

    So, when moving the Microsoft Store Apps & Games install location -- which includes the Xbox Game Bar -- to save space you only need to do the following:



    (a) Press Windows key + I to open Settings.



    (b) Select System. Click on Storage.



    (c) Click on the link "Change where new content is saved."



    (d) Under "New apps will save to:" change the drop-down option to your desired location.

    After reviewing our Troubleshoot Xbox Game Bar on Windows guide this issue of yours is not actually covered by the steps suggested in the guide. I suspect that using junction points might actually be the cause of the Xbox Game Bar not working but that's just one possibility. So, let us work together as a team to get to the bottom of this. But to better assist you I need to ask:

    1) What version of Windows are you using? We specifically need the edition and version number of Windows your device is running. To find out which version of Windows your device is running, press the Windows logo key + R, type winver in the Open box, and then select OK. You'll get the window below and we need the information highlighted in red.

    2) Can you tell me how much free space your C drive has? Please use our Find out how much storage your PC has guide.



    3) I get from your description above that the Xbox Game Bar launches on your computer but if for example you open the Xbox Game Bar and select Settings you don't get to that screen i.e. nothing happens. Am I understanding that correctly?

    4) If you performed the clean boot procedure from the link below does that resolve the issue?

    Remap, that's funny... Remap to what exactly?

    I use the default controller mapping and in games like in rocket league i can customize keys how i want, but what does it have to do that the windows ui reacts to controller input while no game or something like this is running?

    Windows UI should not react on that xinput events while i not playing anything, thats all what i want.
