    Hello dear Gamer, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

    My name is Vinicius.

    I am a gamer and independent advisor on the XBOX community platform.

    Hey ChewKiller, how are you today? Hope you're well.

    Ok, please, double check if your windows and all the xbox apps are up to date indeed.

    Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

    Click Check for Updates;

    Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

    Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

    ______________________________________________________________

    Then try this:

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox game bar > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

    ______________________________________________________________

    If it still doesn't work, I advise you to try a clean reboot on your PC, to prevent any apps or services to interfere on the operation of the game bar.

    Right-click the Start button.

    Click Search.

    Type msconfig and hit Enter on your keyboard.

    Click Services.

    Click the checkbox next to Hide all Microsoft services.

    Click Disable all.

    Click Startup.

    Click Open Task Manager.

    Click any startup program you suspect might be interfering.

    Click Disable. Repeat steps 9 and 10 for all startup programs.

    Click the X to close Task Manager.

    Click OK in the System Configuration window.

    Restart your PC.

    Once your PC restarts, only the essentials will boot. If you were having issues with a program or update, try to deactivate the game bar on your windows settings and then activate it again, while in the clean boot environment. If the problem persists, you'll know that you don't have a software conflict and the problem lies elsewhere.

    If the problem doesn't show up while in a clean boot, you can now attempt to find the offending program or service. The best way to do so is to repeat steps 1-5 above, but re-enable half of the services.

    Stuttering Dashboard Fix. + Possible game crash fix?

    just bring up the side bar, go to the bottom and where it says power select restart, this then completely reboots the console, no having to hold the on off button to force it and no unplugging needed and then you know it has restarted cleanly.

    Where's the update?

    A lot of people have received it and it's should be out to everyone very soon, try this to see if you can force the update to your console :

    Basically, you have to go and turn off energy saving mode (the mode that shuts the console off completely). Then, make sure that you have the "get updates automatically checked".

    From there, turn off the Xbox and wait ~15 minutes. You should still hear the fan and maybe some hard drive noise. When the update is complete, you will see the light on the front of the console blink a couple of times. Turn her back on and you should see
    a green progress bar.

    Turn the Game Bar on or off in Windows 10:

    1. Navigate to the Xbox app within Windows 10.

    2. Select Settings and then Game DVR.

    3. Turn ‘Record game clips and screenshots using Game DVR’ to off.

    Turn the Game Bar on or off in Windows 10 using the registry:

    1. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR.

    2. Change the AppCaptureEnabled DWORD value to 0 to turn it off. Change it to 1 to turn it back on.

    3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore.

    4. Change the GameDVR_Enabled DWORD value to 0 to turn it off. Change it to 1 to turn it back on.

    To remove the Game Bar altogether:

    If you would like to remove the Xbox app altogether, try this.

    1. Open a Windows PowerShell as an administrator.

    2. Type or paste Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

    3. Let the process complete.

    Let us know how it turns out.
