Xbox Game Bar & App Microphone Issues

I have been experiencing an issue in which my mic isn’t picked up my Xbox game bar or xbox app unless I actively have the app or game bar open. Once I close either, my mic is not picked up but I can still hear friends in the party. I’ve used game bar for the better part of a year and never had a problem? Im looking for a fix. (I’m not sure if this is tied with the insiders program Im just not sure what is causing this)
