xbox game app sign in button does absolutley nothing

"First of all, I deleted and uninstalled all the Xbox accessory apps as 'daviderenzi1' said. All the cmd and powershell things.

And then I re-install and reset the Xbox app on Microsoft Store. Still it didn't sign me in.

I found that after erasing all the accessory apps, they are not installed after re-installing Xbox app.

So I downloaded the .reg files from here "Restore Default Services in Windows 10 | Tutorials (tenforums.com)" (I don't know whether it is safe or not to download .reg and install it, but I just wanted to fix this so yeah I did a jump of faith here)

And installed all 4 registries, rebooted AND VOILA! Xbox app signed me in!

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps below one by another:

1. Close the app from the recent applications menu.

2. Restart your phone.

3. Clear the app cache. Go to Settings > Apps, select the app, then select Storage > Clear cache.

4. Clear the app storage, then try again. Go to Settings> Apps, select the app, then select Storage > Clear storage.

5. Uninstall and reinstall. Press on the app icon until you get the option to Uninstall. Then reinstall the app from the Play Store.

Hi Lord Mango Esq,It clearly not works correctly. Have you tried to desinstall/reinstall the app ? Any update on your PC ? (Xbox app,
Gaming services, Microsoft store...).

i have this issue and it just randomly started, one day it signed me out on it own and now the sign in button does nothing i can not purchase anything either, i have tried everything you listed above and still nothing. i can still play some games i had shortcuts for games i had pined to my taskbar. it allows me to sign into my account only when accessing the game but not the app itself.
