Xbox full screen ad on start up of console

I just got a full screen ad on startup of my console. As much as I dislike the home screen ads, at least they aren't intrusive and don't require me to interact with them. Getting me to dismiss an advert on startup of the console which I paid £300 for, bought numerous games on, and pay for gamepass ultimate on top of, is unacceptable - I have given xbox hundreds of pounds, maybe over a thousand over the years, but apparently that just isn't enough for them. Its utterly shameless.

There has to be a way to disable this.

If this continues, I will become a PC gamer or even trying PS. I've been playing since Xbox launch day but I'm unprepared to be subjected to this level of advertising, having spent thousands over the years on subscriptions, games and consoles.

So there is no option to disable full screen ads on a console I have paid hundreds of dollars for and pay a monthly subscription fee to even use properly?

This has made me consider my options as a consumer.

Turn off “Automatically start the app on startup”: Go to Home, find the Xbox app, and click it. Click the Profile/Sign in menu item at the top left of the screen. Then click Settings. Click General in the left panel. Then uncheck the “Automatically start the app on startup” option in Startup Settings.

Turn off “Run at Startup/Xbox App Services”: Click Start and search for the Xbox app (typing “xb” is usually sufficient). Right-click on the Xbox app item. From the right-click menu, select Application Settings. Disable the "Run at startup/Xbox App Services" setting.

How do I ensure this never happens again? I don't want to look for alternative means of playing video games but I won't take this level of intrusive advertising.

Honestly, It is only going to get worse now that they have to recoup all that money they spent acquiring Bethesda and Activision. Moving to PlayStation or PC wouldn't be a bad move at this point. I switched to PlayStation back in 2013. I haven't really regretted it. It's pretty disgusting how greedy and scummy Xbox has been the last few years.
