xbox frozen on updates, on preparation, freeze up fix?

So i see a lot of people posting and asking about their xbox freezing either on updates or on preparing mode with assorted errors. Mine had this problem where it was freezing at various points. I was about to give up since i reset my xbox erasing and started
over. It still froze on updates until one time i started it and realized when i connected to my internet i was signing onto the slower speed option (xxx 2g vs xxx5g). When i changed the internet to the 5g option the update worked and i'm back up...... I
don't get it really, maybe the update on 2g was too slow, maybe its worth a shot if nothing else helps. My xbox works again!
