Has the update moved at all since you posted this? If it's still moving, it's possible your internet connection is quite slow and is taking some time to complete the download. Let us know.

On top of all the other comments you can also try to power cycle the Xbox by clearing the cache. Unplug the power from the Xbox itself and then hold the power button for 30sec. then plug back and power on. See if that helps.

Hello, So with it only being 3 months since you had it, as long as it was purchased BRAND NEW from store youll have a warranty to cover fixing it if need be. When you power back on the console what happens? Does it allow you to sign in under your gamertag???
When you try to play a game what does it say??

yes I can signin to my gametag but when I go to the game it just sets there and loads

2. Do you have external disc drive. If you have one, try to disconect it.

3. Try to remove and then add again your account on console.
