    Xbox froze and broke


    So I bought the Xbox One bundled with the MCC over the weekend and it was working perfectly fine until about 15mins ago tonight.

    In the middle of a multiplayer game on Halo:CE, my screen froze and the Xbox started making a really loud, weird buzzing kind of noise and then returned to the dashboard. Now when I try to go back into the Master Chief Collection it tells me I haven't bought
    the game and should go to the Xbox Store. I also tried loading Child Of Light which I downloaded for free with Xbox Gold, and when it tries to load, the screen turns into kind of the static snowy picture save the top left corner where I can see the game loading
    through the dev logos.

    I've tried signing in, signing out, turning the console on and off, and no matter what I can't load the game.

    EDIT: Turning the console off and on didn't work the first two times, but after I finished typing up this post I went and turned the box back on and now it works fine again... would love to know what happened so I can prevent it in the future if possible.

    Is the xbox one really that much a step as the 360 was to the original xbox ?

    restart the router restart xbox make sure controller is on make sure everything is plugged in.

    there are some games, that do just freeze. it's a pain, and not a normal process of the Xbox, but it happens. It used to happen on Gears of War with me while online, and Tiger Woods, a few times as well. You can clean the system cache, by going to console
    settings, choosing your hard drive, and pressing the Y on your controller, then selecting "Clean System Cache". it will cause you do redownload any title updates for your games. But they will be fresh, and not overlay one over another. (if you've had COD since
    launch, I'm sure you've seen the update screen several times when first booting up the game). sometimes these layered updates cause issues. It will not affect your game saves, or dlc. it only does the game updates themselves. let me know if this helps.

    The games sometimes make your xbox freeze but if you want to prevent less freezing you can go to your Storage and clear system Cache and it lessens the amount of freezing you have. Also if its the game and you have enough space on your HDD then you can always
    just install it.
