    Xbox Friends


    Hello there,

    For some strange reason, I cannot seem to send or receive messages or friend requests on my gold account.

    I found this out when my brother tried to friend me but I never got a message. I would try to send someone a message and it would not let me even type in a name to send a message to. The selection was unable to be clicked, or even highlighted. I then went to
    add my brother as a friend instead. The Xbox let me go to where I type the name but, when I entered in the name, the dang thing said 'this person is already on your friends list' when I never even received a request and he is not on my list either. Also, no
    error message pops up so it is not a registered error.

    I would appreciate it if someone with any information on the subject could help me out. Thanks.

    Missing / wanted features

    It would be good if when you said "Xbox go to friends" it actually went to your friends bit, at the moment you have to say "xbox, go to friends" and when that loads up, you then have to say "friends".

    And I don't really like the dulled out friends and the green "item (or is it person?) 1, 2, 3" etc. bit on the friends list when you use voice commands, wish it was easier to see what they were doing without needed to say "stop listening"

    Xbox Friends

    It sounds like you have your privacy settings set to clocked or friends only, I had the same thing going on. Go to Settings -> Privacy and make sure your contact settings are Allowed.

    If you're under 18 and your parents set up restrictions you won't be allowed to add to your friend's list

    Voice chat on Fortnite and CoD working ok Xbox to PS4 and PC, but not to Xbox

    I assume they all are in party, as he is in a group. Xbox friend can talk to PS4 friend and Xbox son can talk to PS4 friend. But in the same game Xbox friend cannot talk to Xbox son. Leaving PS4 friend to relay each of the XBoxs to each other.

    I have the same problem on CoD MW and I have my the other Xbox player as an Xbox friend and in game friend but cannot hear each other.

    Have you tried having him send you a friend request? This is some information I was able to find. It might be worth a shot to have him send you a friend request.

    Viewing your Xbox One friends on your Xbox 360 friends list

    With Xbox One, a friend is anyone whom you add to your friends list. Adding new friends on Xbox One does not require that they send a friend request first.

    When you sign in to an Xbox One console, your Xbox 360 friends will automatically appear in your friends list, as well as your followers list. If you accept a new friend request sent from an Xbox 360 console, you will see them as a friend AND a follower
    on Xbox One. However, friends who have been added on Xbox One will not automatically show up on your Xbox 360 list. If you plan to play with them on your Xbox 360, you’ll have to send a friend request through your Xbox 360 console. Once they accept, you’ll
    then see them in your friends list on both of your consoles.
