right so ever since I turned my Xbox on today it had said I have 173 friends on ( the amount that was on when I turned my Xbox off ) and I've tried resetting restarting turning off at the wall turning internet off signing out everything with no success it's
driving me crazy not knowing who's on and who's not any help will be greatly appreciated

I have found a strategy but it envolves deleting friends and adding them back any other way to do this?

Offline Glitch

Has anyone noticed that when you or your friends are showing offline, you still get an online notice from them? It pops up about ever 30 min or so and even though they've been showing offline for hours, every time there's an online popup, it shows that
person was last on 1 minute ago? It's annoying! If I want to show offline, it means I don't want others to know I'm online not to let them know I'm still on. Anyone know how to fix it?

If an account has been offline for a certain amount of time can I (an active account) somehow obtain the gamertag through Microsoft / Xbox?

Hey Amber,

Looking at my friends list online on my laptop it looks to be the same issue as on my Xbox. 4 friends it shows as being online currently or within the past 24 hours while the rest show as offline when I know they are have not been offline more than 24 hours
and they don't have their profiles set to "show as offline".

What is your experience at in the game? Is it a negative (-) or a positive (+)?

There is a glitch that others have taken advantage of that sends other players into a negative amount. While there, they cannot play online multiplayer unless they've been invited by a friend.

There is no fix for this although you can try contacting Activision about it.

Are you showing as "Online status not available"? Or are friends? Friends it usually means they haven't been online for X amount of days (not sure how many is used to determine when to display this message as a status)

Hey there, if this is a privacy concern to some users, then they should block their Online Status to Friends Only. When someone appears offline and they switch games from what they last played appearing offline, it shows that they have since changed games,
that has always been visible for as long as i've been on LIVE. So therefore no, I don't think this is a issue being worked on.
