Xbox friends randomly appear

My brother logged into the xbox app on one of our computers to edit a video he wanted to make. As soon as he logged in,a bunch of random people became his friends without adding them. Was he hacked?

Are you sure that are friends or followers?
First, in any case ask your brother to change his Microsoft account password

By the way, ask him to enable two steps verification.
And, ask him to change their privacy settings as well

It already appears, but it is randomly as a notification when you access the game, friend =)

Yes, I forgot i had a USB keyboard plugged in, I ignored the menu issue till I had these numbers randomly appear, though there was something up with my PC but it was either a dodgy keyboard or the kittens steping on the keyboard. The numbers are because
I use the TV option and they are used for TV.

Odd that the menu randomly pops up. Do you have any other USB devices plugged into your Xbox One that might be causing this trouble for you? If so, try removing that to see if there's any change.
