Xbox Friends online notifications not working for over 4 months.

In the meantime, what I can suggest is to try submitting a bug report via the steps on this page https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/account-pro...

Or you may also try contacting an Xbox representative direcly via https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us to check for an update if there is a ticket number or report made already.

On the page, click on "Contact us" > Subscriptions & billing > I can't redeem a code > Type in "Support" then there you should see option to message or request a callback from the Xbox team. The option I provided here is diferent, this is just a way to easily find the option to reach the Xbox support.

When can we expect a discounted subscription fee, for a subscription that isn't fucntioning?

Looks like they removed the option to be notified only when favorites get online. It’s available as an option to select on the app, but not on the Xbox itself. I went through the settings for the umpteenth time last night and literally just noticed this. I wonder if when they removed that option, and was trying to add the discord stuff in on the May update, it completely broke the online notifications. Looks like they changed some of my settings too when they implemented that update, because I’ve kept that annoying ‘looking for group’ notification turned off since they introduced it. Of course when I saw that I experimented and changed some favorites who get online quite a bit to regular friends and only left a few people as favorites and restarted system. Online notifications were of course still broken for all friends regardless of favorite or not. But I do believe this is possibly what broke it.

My friends and I are having the same issue with friend online notifications not working on the consul and Xbox phone app. We have also done all the troubleshooting steps and nothing is working. This issue has been happening for a little over a month now and its odd that this has been reported by so many people yet there is no announcements from Microsoft even recognizing the issue...

I don't believe this is the problem. The Social services were down temporarily last week but now that it's back up, the "Friends Online" notifications are still not working. Also, We mentioned that this hasn't been working for months now. Probably 2 months now.

Again, this is still a problem. Xbox Live services are all showing that they are up and running with no issues. (https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status)

All troubleshooting steps have been taken many times to no avail. Is there a single person who has "Friends Online" notifications working? I don't know of anyone.
