Xbox friend notifications still do not show up.

Hi everyone, I’ve been having this problem with my xbox series x friend notifications since maybe last month. The problem is my xbox and the xbox app don’t send me a notification of when my friend gets online. I have tried to factory reset my xbox and restart my xbox multiple times but nothing seems to work. It seems like other people are also experiencing the same issue I have. So what I want to know is that if this is an issue that’s common for everyone on Xbox right now or if it’s just me and some other people and also if Xbox is working to fixing the issue?

Just a friendly reminder though that there are indeed multiple reports in regards to the same issue, however, there are no official announcements yet from Microsoft which means that we just need to perform troubleshooting steps.

If your friends are playing the Xbox One then they wont show up in the notification pop up.

It only counts friends playing the Xbox 360

Thats not quite true. Check your notifications settings on the dashboard. For me notifications pop up everytime any xbox friend on my favourites list or not, logs onto xbox 1. However no pop up will show if your xbox friend logs onto xbox 360.
