    Xbox Friend Messages No Longer Mark As "Read" when viewing on Xbox.com


    Hey folks - seeing as there is no forum for issues with the xbox.com site, I'm posting here. Usually, when a message is received (not a PM here on the forums, but a friend message that can be accessed through your profile) you can go to your profile at the
    top-right of this page, click "Messages" and when you view your messages, they are no longer marked as new. Yesterday, I noticed the Messages page had a different look, so there must have been a site update. After reading my messages, I went to another page
    and saw that the drop down showed I still had the same number of new messages.

    I clicked in and out a number of ways, but the messages remained "unread." The only way I could get them to stop showing up as new was to open them on my Xbox One's message center or in SmartGlass. Then, returning to the site, the messages no longer show
    as new.

    Any ideas? Seems like a glitch in the site's code for the new message center.

    No, I have 14 friends over Xbox Live.

    All my friends can be viewed on website, Xbox one, smartglass.

    My problem is that when I go to message my friends via the web site xbox.com and press the add recipient + Button in the new messages box it will only display 4 of the 14.

    On Xbox One and Smartglass I can message all 14 no worries, its only on Xbox.com

    There has been alot of people this week talking about having problems with messages. Mostly not being able to send or receive them. The problem should clear up this weekend.

    Had that for more than a few weeks on the Xbox Beta app as well as the console. For my console, I just went back into notifications and it disappeared (huzzah). For the Beta app, it's been on-off. Going into a notification or two, clicking refresh, clearing
    cache... It hasn't been as prevalent a problem now, because it's behaving itself.

    I have had that happen, and usually it fixes itself within a day or two. I just assume its part of the extra server load lately. :p

    Thanks for that advice....when you pay for a service you expect a level of customer service back regardless of the time of year - I have taken it into account though..
