Xbox friend list is frozen and can't connect to any games online services

whenever I go onto my friend list it says only two people are online and they have been doing the same thing since I turned on my Xbox which was around 3-4 hours ago, but when I check my Xbox 360 it says 15 people are online. I also can't connect to any
online services e.g farcry 4 Ubisoft, gta online, call of duty etc

Anyone know what's wrong??

Account Problems

For a week now my Xbox live account hasn't been letting me do anything online. I connect to the internet yet I can't do anything. My friends list is frozen, marketplace won't show up, I can't do anything that has to do with online. Yet it says I'm connected
to the internet. I have tried everything to fix this and nothing has worked. HELP PLEASE!

 

Connected but not

I'm having all these same troubles starting as of today. I can't create parties, my friends list never changes any status, the deals tab is replaced with "Connect To Xbox Live", but I'm online and even downloaded an update for a game(Smite). But it wouldn't
let me play said game. It told me I needed to connect. My network settings displays that everything is good and every service is available also.

I hope Xbox can fix this problem soon.

 

If you highlight settings in the guide menu on the dashboard and use the option to restart console hopefully when the console has restarted the list of friends online will then be correct afterwards.

 

I'm having this same problem.

 

The usual fix for this is just sign out of your profile , then back in....if still no , then you have to do "the big fix"....

go into settings and accounts and remove all the profiles , (make sure you have the email and password to get them back ) after you remove the profiles , shut the xbox down by holding the xbox logo on the console for 8 seconds till it powers down , while
it is off , unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds to clear them also , plug the modem and router back up and when they are online , turn the xbox back on , when it is all the way up . re add your main profile ...it may sit there and sync a little while
but all SHOULD be good afterwards ...

 

Mine is fixed, I had to sign in in again and when it did, my dashboard and friends list was back to normal
